Quote from the Chronicle and Echo, Northampton. December 22nd 2005.
Young musicians at music school Acam, based in Thomas Street, The Mounts, won the young achiever of the year prize at the Chronicle and Echo's Pride in Northamptonshire awards.

They raised more than £5000 for charities including the Cynthia Spencer Hospice Appeal and Macmillan Nurses by staging a string of concerts at St James Working Men's Club, in Weedon Road, for the last five years.
They were presented with a £100 prize, which will be spent on two new microphones.
Joanne Cottam, head of music at Acam said: "This is absolutely brilliant. Normally some of our costs from the concert would go on microphones, but now they have been paid for with this cheque we will be able to raise even more money for charity."
